RYAN PRICE NAMED DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS FOR REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION IN TAMPA

Ryan Price has done Republican campaign, convention and consulting work, but his latest gig will be as director of operations for the GOP convention in Tampa , organizers said Monday.
Price comes to the convention from The Trailblazer Group, a public affairs and political consulting firm that he co-founded in Alexandria , Va.
At the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul , Price was the director of delegate and caucus operations. In that job, he coordinated all 56 delegations and more than 5,000 delegates and alternates, according to his firm’s website. He also built and ran the 120-plus-person floor operations team and developed and carried out strategies for all convention floor activity. The same year, he was deputy political director for Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign.
Originally from West Palm Beach , Price graduated from Appalachian State University in North Carolina and the University of Miami School of Law. He also served in the U.S. Army’s First Ranger Battalion. In 1998, he was a southeast field director for Jeb Bush’s run for governor. In 2000, he worked in George W. Bush’s presidential campaign. In 2006, he was political director for Tom Gallagher’s campaign in the Florida GOP gubernatorial primary.
